A wonderful zoo, very reasonably priced.
It’s a great day out. And only a short drive or bike ride away.

La Tremblade Tourist Board
A lovely little town a short drive from Les Charmettes. Ok this site may not enthrall you with it's pictures of where to play scrabble, but the market is lovely and there are some lovely restaurants.

Disneyland Resort Paris
Many of our holiday makers have started or ended their holiday at Disney. If you choose to do this, let us know and we can advise on ferries and routes.

This is a wonderful site with lots of information on lots of places, trips and activities.

Le Grand Park Puy du Fou
There is a magical land where time has gone out of control. Gladiators still do battle and Vikings continue to launch their attacks on fortified castles. There is a different era in each village. There are minstrels in the heart of the woods and master falconers in the meadows. This huge area covering 40 hectares is the Puy du Fou Grand Parc.

Very reasonably priced hotels. They are dotted all over France, and provide basic clean accommodation. The web site has an English translation. Certainly the hotels at Avranches and Nantes provide a handy stopover point for Les Charmettes.

Futuroscope
An amazing theme park just outside Poitiers. Has many 3D and simulator rides.
